Bedsonline Launches “Star Rewards” Loyalty Programme

Bedsonline, the global provider of accommodation and complementary travel services designed exclusively for travel agents, has announced today the launch of its first client-facing loyalty program.

The program is called ‘Star Rewards’ and is available for travel agents to join as individual members.

Star Rewards has recently been launched in the Middle East market and further markets will be announced in the upcoming moths.

Users earn points based on the value of their bookings once travel is completed. Once earned, members can redeem points instantly by choosing e-gifts from the catalogue, which includes vendors such as Yougotagift.com.

The loyalty scheme presents users with a wide set of unique features, including: agents can see all earned points reflected in their account on a daily basis; users receive their gift vouchers instantly after following the point redemption process and receive a voucher code which can be used immediately, avoiding waiting time; and a chance to get extra points by booking exclusive content from specific campaigns.

The Star Rewards program will replace the current GTA retail loyalty program called g-shop. All agents who already use the former loyalty program will be able to transfer their existing points to the new Bedsonline Star Program at the same value.

Rami Mashini, Regional Sales Director for the Middle East, Africa, India and Eastern Mediterranean at Bedsonline, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our Star Rewards program for our Bedsonline clients with a view to enhancing customer satisfaction and showing appreciation for their support. We are also pleased to be the first region – the Middle East – where the loyalty program is implemented. Our agents will enjoy a great set of unique user features across our extraordinary gift portfolio.

“In addition to earning extra points off their purchases, they can also enjoy regular special offers and promotions that we will provide regularly – but we´ll only be providing updates on this directly to users, so we recommend signing up ASAP! Travel agents can find out more information on how to join from their Bedsonline manager.”

This news comes after Bedsonline announced last September a new brand identity and at the same time confirmed that its sister brands – which include GTA’s retail offering and TravelCube – are to become part of Bedsonline. Already many of the GTA and TravelCube customers have migrated onto the Bedsonline platform; therefore, from the end of January 2019 onwards a switchover will occur, whereby the legacy platforms will stop taking new bookings, but will continue to support historic bookings.

The Bedsonline platform now offers travel agents globally the following benefits:

1. Diverse and competitive product portfolio: over 170,000 hotels globally available (with over 90,000 of those directly sourced, making the content both unique and competitively priced), 24,000 transfer routes and 18,000 activities, PLUS 500 car rental companies – all sourced by a team of over 1,000 contractors globally.

2. Powerful and user-friendly technology: best-in-class search engine designed specifically for the needs of travel agents allows users to filter and compare results in a flexible and practical way, including intuitive email and PDF functions – 70% of existing customers cite the platform as a top factor in choosing the service. Bedsonline’s parent Group is the only distributor to operate its own cloud-based, open source data centre and handles up to 1.5 billion searches per day.

3. Local knowledge combined with a global offering: local sales teams in every market with significant local knowledge and industry know-how ready to take care of all the needs of customers.
