In the quiet heights of Anacapri, where the rhythm of the island becomes slower and more authentic, EDIT Napoli, the platform dedicated to independent contemporary design and design authorship, presents Esclusivo|Inclusivo, a new project developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Anacapri and Jumeirah Capri Palace.
Moving beyond the boundaries of its Naples fair, scheduled for October 2026, EDIT Napoli brings its vision of contemporary independent design to one of the Mediterranean’s most evocative destinations. The project unfolds within Villa Rosa, a historic residence in Anacapri transformed for the occasion into a space for discovery, experience and exhibition. A curated selection of international designers, chosen by Domitilla Dardi, co-founder and curator of EDIT Napoli, and Emilia Petruccelli, co-founder and director of EDIT Napoli, turns the villa into a lived-in home shaped through design.
Alongside the exhibition at Villa Rosa, Jumeirah Capri Palace will host a presentation of works from Patricia Urquiola’s Hybrida collection for EDIT Napoli, together with a programme of conversations exploring themes of production, craftsmanship, contemporary living and the balance between exclusivity and inclusivity in design culture. Featured contributors include cc-tapis and Allegra Hicks (May 24) and the design duo Formafantasma (July 4), bringing their vision and contribution to the Capri programme.
The project naturally connects with the world of Jumeirah Capri Palace, an iconic destination where art, architecture and hospitality coexist organically. The hotel itself functions as a living gallery, where artworks engage seamlessly with interiors, exceptional dining experiences and the regenerative atmosphere of its spa. From installations by Arnaldo Pomodoro and Mimmo Paladino to works by Giorgio de Chirico, art becomes an integral part of the guest experience. Its suites, designed by figures such as Patricia Urquiola and Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva, further define a language in which design is inseparable from hospitality itself. Within this context, EDIT Napoli emerges as a natural extension, strengthening the dialogue between contemporary design culture and high-end hospitality.
Commenting on the programme, Emilia Petruccelli, co-founder and director of EDIT Napoli, said; “In today’s design discourse, inclusivity and exclusivity are no longer opposing concepts, but conditions that coexist. On one side lies the need to open design to new supply chains, languages and contexts; on the other, the urgency of maintaining rigorous qualitative and curatorial standards. It is within this tension that EDIT Napoli positions its work.”
Set along the iconic route linking Anacapri to Villa San Michele, Villa Rosa embodies the layered history of many places on the island: from a 19th-century residence to hotel, and eventually cultural venue. Following an extensive restoration promoted by the Municipality of Anacapri, the villa now reopens as a contemporary cultural hub, reactivating its original vocation as a place shaped by stories, artists and visions. As with all EDIT Napoli projects, design at Villa Rosa is presented within a domestic dimension, engaging directly with space, light, materials and the Mediterranean landscape. Rooms become narratives, where objects and furnishings reveal themselves as part of a broader story. Not a conventional exhibition, but a place to inhabit.
