As October draws to a close, Jannah Hotels & Resorts is reflecting on its fifth consecutive year of supporting breast cancer awareness, with a Pinktober campaign that this year turned its focus to the people at the heart of the group: its colleagues.
Organised in collaboration with NMC Healthcare, Pinktober 2026 brought together team members from Jannah’s properties across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah for a series of educational awareness sessions (70 colleagues). Led by NMC Healthcare’s medical professionals, the sessions covered breast health, early detection and the importance of regular screenings, while interactive discussions gave colleagues the space to ask questions, share experiences and talk openly about a subject that touches so many families.
Beyond the Pink Ribbon
For Jannah, Pinktober is more than a symbolic campaign. It is about creating meaningful conversations, encouraging early detection, supporting those affected by breast cancer and honouring those who have been lost. Across the three emirates, the sessions became moments for colleagues to connect beyond their everyday roles and responsibilities, and to be reminded of the importance of looking after one another.
The initiative reflects Jannah’s belief that caring for people extends beyond its guests to its colleagues, their families and the wider community, and that genuine hospitality begins with genuine care.
Julio Rafael, Director of Marketing & Communications, Jannah Hotels & Resorts, said: “At Jannah, Pinktober has never been just another campaign on our calendar. It is a cause we take personally, because behind every pink ribbon is a story, a family and someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.
For five consecutive years, these initiatives have brought us closer to our colleagues, creating moments where we connect beyond our everyday roles and responsibilities. During these sessions, we are reminded that hospitality begins with genuinely caring for people, especially those who are part of our Jannah family.
Our collaboration with NMC Healthcare has allowed us to turn awareness into meaningful conversations, encouraging our teams to prioritise their health and support one another. October may have ended, but our responsibility to care, educate and inspire continues.”
Awareness Beyond October
While Pinktober has concluded, Jannah’s commitment to raising awareness and supporting the wellbeing of its people continues throughout the year, as part of the group’s ongoing focus on colleague wellbeing and community engagement.
