Paramount Hotel Dubai is excited to announce the grand finale of the “We Create Drama” Film Festival, an event that has captured the imagination of filmmakers and movie enthusiasts. This concluding celebration, set to take place on Sunday, June 2nd, invites everyone to join a series of engaging workshops and public screenings of the independently made films by the top nine finalists of the competition. The festival, created by Paramount Hotel Dubai in collaboration with Nikon Middle East and Africa, Grand Stores, Zhiyun, and Westford University, promises an insightful day filled with creativity, learning, and cinematic excellence.

Workshops and Screenings:

The event will feature a variety of workshops facilitated by industry experts. Attendees can participate in sessions on “The Art of Independent Filmmaking” and “AI in Cinema: Exploring the Future of Film,” offering valuable insights into the filmmaking process. Guest speakers and panelists from American University of Sharjah and SAE Film Institute will share their expertise and experiences, providing a rich learning environment for aspiring filmmakers.

Nikon Middle East will also hold a specialized cinematography workshop, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience with top-of-the-line equipment. Light refreshments will be served to everyone joining the workshops.

Panel Discussions:

There will be an engaging panel featuring the directors and finalists of the “We Create Drama” Film Festival. This session will delve into their creative processes, the stories behind their films, and the journey of bringing their visions to life. It’s an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn from the finalists and gain inspiration for their own projects.

Screenings:

All nine finalist films will be showcased in the hotel’s private dine-in cinema, the Paramount Screening Room, which is equipped with a 175-inch cinema screen. Each film, ranging from three to ten minutes long, will be open for public viewing, celebrating the diverse and innovative storytelling talents of the participants.

Awards Ceremony:

The event will culminate in a glamorous red-carpet awards ceremony, honoring the outstanding contributions in various categories. Sponsored by Nikon Middle East and Africa, Grand Stores, Zhiyun, and Westford University, the awards include the coveted “Film of the Year,” along with accolades such as Director of the Year, Actor of the Year, Actress of the Year, DOP of the Year, and Writer of the Year. Winners will receive exciting prizes, including top-of-the-line Nikon cameras and Zhiyun gear to enhance their filmmaking skills, as well as exclusive hotel experiences such as dining in the hotel’s F&B outlets or a luxurious staycation at Paramount Hotel Dubai.
